Tasmania, 75 mailboxes
If Tasmania is renowned for its large parks, its animals of its own, its organic agriculture and its fine gastronomy, the creativity of the Tasmanians is also well determined! The roads are lined with sculptures, including mailboxes where waste and useless objects, shells, wood and metals are reused.
Here is a journey of particular mailboxes, from the artistic to the DIY, from the milk can to the plastic can.
TAS Mailboxes
There is not really a standard model, everyone is free to make their mailbox as they wish or can. Also, from the gas bottle transformed into a pig, glued toys, mini houses, old milk cans to modern plastic cans, everything is good for containing the precious mail.
Note that mail flights are not feared in this island of Australia!
